Dr. Monteiro is a graduate of Government Medical College in Miraj, India. He completed his Family Medicine residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University in 2011 and a second residency in General Preventive Medicine and Public Health at Rutgers University in 2013. He also obtained a Masters in Public Health at Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey in 2013.
Dr. Monteiro has been practicing medicine since 2013, spending three years with Bon Secours Health System in Richmond, Virginia before relocating to Oregon in 2016. His current practice specializes in substance use disorder, chronic disease management and preventive medicine. He is currently board certified in Family Medicine and General Preventive Medicine.
While at home, he enjoys spending time with his sons exploring the west coast, playing tennis, badminton and hiking.
