Transitional Living
Adapt’s transitional housing provides an opportunity for people in the early stages of recovery and their children to transition back into daily life at a slow and gradual pace. Transitional housing is provided in cooperation with the Douglas County Kids in Common Collaborative and the Oregon Department of Human Services-Child Welfare Program. The goal of transitional housing is to safely reunite children with their families by providing the support and guidance needed to restore family health, stability and self-sufficiency.
Transitional housing offers safe, alcohol and drug-free housing, along with treatment for substance use and co-occurring disorders in a structured and supervised environment for parents and their children. Residents have full access to Adapt’s treatment programs and services to support continuity of care, aftercare and sustained health and recovery.

Adapt’s transitional family housing is located in Douglas and Josephine counties. Referrals to Eveningside in Josephine County are coordinated by the Oregon Department of Human Services, Child Welfare Program for families with a substance use diagnosis. Referrals to Hillside Terrace in Douglas County are coordinated by Adapt and Oregon Department of Human Services, Child Welfare Program.
